MISSION MALAWI
We have reported just a few examples of what has been done for the development of Malawi to give you an idea of the ethical commitment and the achievements of those people, groups and Associations living in the Bergamo area who have embraced our ideals and decided to support our activities in the country.
Driven by their generosity and by the common desire to work with the rural community in Malawi through the Mangochi Diocese, they all share the idea that all human beings have a body and a soul.

We have saved many lives and helped many families
The way we help
It is during an experience in Malawi
that we have met a group of women who had assembled in a group, called Tithandizane, which means “Let’s try to help each other”, getting together with regularity. The purpose of the group was to disclose the hidden potentialities of needy people encouraging women to take responsibility for their development. This vision of women’s growth and increase of responsibility aims at creating an environment which is favourable to the development of potentialities both for women and children.
We believe in women’s emancipation
Good knowledge of an activity, such as tailoring for example, allows women to make their houses more comfortable and improve their children’s life. A better house also reduces the alarming trend of an increase in the number of children.
A Global View for our Malawi Onlus
We are constantly at work for the creation of a free society where women and young people are economically independent and can play a constructive and active role in their country. The Association has become an icon as a promoter of awareness, spreading the necessary knowledge to change sexually hazardous behaviours for the creation of a society free from HIV/AIDS.
